Montreat’s leadership minor blends classroom learning with hands-on experience to develop Christ-centered leaders. Open to all majors, this transformative program equips students to grow in faith, discern truth, lead with purpose, and foster meaningful relationships.

Why Leadership?

The leadership minor, offered through the interdisciplinary studies program and supervised by the outdoor recreation studies program, is open to students from all majors seeking leadership development. This minor combines elective courses with experiential and service-learning opportunities, challenging students to grow in personal faith, discern truth before taking action, and lead others effectively in achieving goals and fostering relationships.

The program challenges students to deepen their personal faith, make informed decisions, and lead effectively in both task accomplishment and relationship development. Graduates are equipped to serve as Christ-following agents of renewal and reconciliation in their careers and communities.
