Why History?

A minor in history prepares students for careers that demand a deep understanding of the past, interaction with diverse populations, and strong analytical thinking and writing skills. It provides insights into historical transitions, enabling individuals to learn from past mistakes and leverage historical strengths.

Due to the breadth and depth of historical investigation, students who minor in history are well prepared for careers that require knowledge of the past, interaction with people at home and around the world, and the ability to write and think analytically.
